DESCRIPTION:First Aid & CPR Training and Certification\n\n\nThe American Red Cross First Aid CPR AED course trains participants to provide first aid\, CPR\, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe\, timely\, and effective manner.   \nWhat does this course teach?  \n\nFirst Aid Basics\nMedical emergencies \nInjury emergencies \nEnvironmental emergencies \nPreventing illness and injury \nAdult CPR and AED use \nOpioid-associated life-threatening emergencies \nChild CPR AED and Infant CPR \n\n Why take the time to become certified?  \n\nYou could save someone’s life in an emergency situation \nOpportunity to increase someone’s comfort during a medical emergency \nThese skills can prevent a circumstance or someone symptoms from worsening while they wait for medical attention \nBeing certified adds value to your community – your training can help to save a persons life in your family\, job\, neighborhood or community! \n\n This is an opportunity to gain the skills you need to help others during times of crisis. This training helps you to recognize the signs that someone needs help and administer the appropriate type and level of care in an emergency situation.   \nIn accordance with CDC guidelines\, masking at PCOA facilities is recommended and encouraged for staff\, volunteers\, and members of the public. Masks will be available if needed at our front desks. CDC recommends people at high risk of serious illness from COVID 19 discuss when they should wear masks and other precautions with their healthcare provider. PCOA representatives will gladly put on a mask at your request. For the time being\, food will not be permitted to be served indoors at our facilities. Participants at in-person event(s) will be expected to adhere to distancing and safety guidelines as provided. DESCRIPTION:Preparativos Hechos en Vida\n\n\nComenzando con eso que hace que la vida valga la pena para usted\, esta presentación completamente en ESPANOL\, explora los valores de la vida y la muerte\, analiza las opciones disponibles para el cuidado al final de la vida\, examina documentos importantes y recomienda estrategias para hablar sobre sus deseos\, así como\, completar y renovar su plan de cuidados para el final de la vida. \nSe pueden registrar por medio de este portal o llamando a Alex Treviño\, al (520) 790-7573 ext. 1778. \nDe conformidad con los lineamientos de los CDC\, en las instalaciones de PCOA se recomienda el uso de cubrebocas\, especialmente para el personal\, voluntarios y para el público. En la recepción habrá cubrebocas disponibles. Los CDC recomiendan a las personas con alto riesgo de enfermedades graves derivadas del COVID-19 que consulten con su médico para saber si deben utilizar cubrebocas e implementar otras medidas de precaución. Los representantes de PCOA con gusto se colocarán un cubrebocas si así se los piden. Por el momento no se permite servir alimentos dentro de nuestras instalaciones. Se pide a los participantes en eventos presenciales que cumplan con los lineamientos de seguridad y distanciamiento. En situaciones con grupos pequeños o grandes\, donde el distanciamiento físico no siempre sea posible\, se requerirá el uso de cubrebocas. DESCRIPTION:Healthy Living with Chronic Pain Workshop\n\n\n\nMondays\, Oct. 16\, 23\, 30\, Nov. 6\, 13\, 20 from 1:30 – 3:30 pm\n \nHealthy Living with Chronic Pain (CPSMP) – is workshop that meets once a week for six weeks for 2 hours each week. Each participant receives a copy of the book\, Healthy Living with Chronic Pain.
