What is The Katie?

The Katie’s full name is The Katie Dusenberry Healthy Aging Center. Pima Council on Aging operates a physical center located at 600 S. Country Club Road in Tucson and a virtual center website at TheKatie.org to help our community age well.

At TheKatie.org, explore videos about various topics, including understanding Medicare, scams and fraud, simple exercises you can do safely at home, technology education, and much more.

Visit TheKatie.org to sign up for remote or in-person evidenced-based exercise classes designed for older adults, fall prevention workshops, assistance navigating Medicare, and a host of other opportunities for older adults to learn and engage.

Connect with people and places around the world through Virtual Experiences, where you can take a virtual museum tour or chat with others while enjoying a live stream of pandas playing or tropical fish swimming in a reef.

There’s something for everyone at The Katie! The Katie is named for Katie Dusenberry, a long-time friend and supporter, former PCOA Board Chair, and national advocate for aging issues.
